I review the beers I drink

Brouwerij Van Steenberge – Gulden Draak Classic

Very hazy and quite murky with minimal head retention, smells of caramel, roasted grains, and sourdough. The taste is rich and lightly sweet with flavors of caramel, toasted biscuits, honey, and a touch of white pepper on a full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of honey, caramel, and roasted grains with undertones of barnyard funk and herbal hops. Overall it’s rich and flavorful, however those flavors are pretty static throughout, resulting in the beer feeling a little one dimensional.
