I review the beers I drink

Brouwerij St. Bernardus – Christmas Ale

Very hazy and murky with light head retention, smells of roasted malts, caramel, and spices. The taste is crisp and funky with flavors of apple, cherry, pear, fig, raisin, roasted biscuits, and sourdough on an effervescent full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of cinnamon, ginger, burnt caramel, herbal hops, and funky Belgian yeast. Overall, this is a very well rounded beer, and the spices actually work with the Belgian ale flavors to create something truly special.
