I review the beers I drink

Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat – Duvel 6.66

Lightly hazy with light head retention, smells of sourdough and lemon curd with a hint of floral hops. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of sourdough bread, white pepper, lemon juice, and honey on a full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of lemon zest, grapefruit peels, and Belgian funk on a base of floral and herbal hops. Overall, it’s not bad, the citrus and the funk are decidedly Belgian, however I feel a more straightforward ale without those would have been preferable.
