Lightly hazy with solid rocky head retention, smells of honeyed oats, orange blossom, and floral hops. The taste is crisp and fruity with flavors of wheat crackers and sourdough that slowly transitions to apricot, banana, and honey on a soft medium body. The finish is long and moderately high in bitterness, featuring notes of grapefruit, cantaloupe, floral/herbal hops, and a subtle hint of Belgian yeast. Overall, this is remarkably good! The flavors up front are bold and really do feel like 2 separate phases, and then the hops fade in and while it is quite bitter for a Belgian, it’s still tempered and balanced. A must try for all fans of Belgian beer. Currently the #1 Belgian Strong Pale Ale in the world on BeerAdvocate!
