I review the beers I drink

Bogle Vineyards – Phantom Red 2017

Pours a deep blood red, smells of tobacco, forest floor, black cherry and alcohol. The taste is fruity with a light sweetness and notes of plum, cherry, and black currant on a full body. The finish is warm and dry, featuring notes of leather, cherry, and subtle charred oak. Overall, this is an exquisite red blend, incredibly complex and fruity up front with a strong dryness in the finish. Not for beginners, but a very rewarding wine.
