I review the beers I drink

Bières de Chimay – Grande Réserve (Bleue)

Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of toffee, fruitcake, and aged run. The taste is rich and decadent with flavors of fruitcake, molasses, plum, cherry, and fig on a soft and bubbly full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of dark aged rum, burnt caramel, herbal hops, and coriander. Overall, this is an excellent beer, very complex and smooth with a uniquely soft yet effervescent body. Currently the #3 Belgian Strong Dark Ale in the world on BeerAdvocate!
