Bacardi – Reserva Ocho: Sherry Cask Finish

Bacardi Reserva Ocho Sherry Cask Finish

Smells of cinnamon raisin bread, oatmeal raisin cookies, and toffee. The taste is fruity and sweet with flavors of raisins, cream sherry, and caramel. The finish is smooth and warm with notes of cinnamon, orange peel, clove, oak, and cardamom. Overall, this is luxuriously decadent, exceptionally smooth, and intensely complex; a noticeable improvement on the already fantastic Ocho, for around the same price (if you can find it) and best enjoyed by itself, however it does lend a unique Kalimotxo character to Cuba Libres.

ABV:40%
IBU:
Malts:Molasses
Hops:A blend of barrel-aged reserve rums aged for a minimum of 8 years in bourbon barrels then finished for an unknown amount of time in Oloroso sherry casks
Yeast:Bacardi family proprietary yeast strain
