Awestruck Ciders – Hibiscus Ginger

Grabbed this bottle for half off at work! Clear with no head, smells of crisp and sweet apple with spicy ginger underneath, along with subtle floral notes from the hibiscus. The taste is sweet without being cloying or tart, this time the subtle ginger notes are outshined by hibiscus, lending a flavor reminiscent of oaked Chardonnay; body is light. The finish is very clean, with a subtle warmth from both the ginger and the alcohol. Overall, I wish there was more ginger here, but the hibiscus is a very unique flavor and it works well, delivering a memorable, complex, and extremely quaffable cider.
