Angry Orchard – Rosé

It’s Cider Saturday! I took back bottle deposits and picked up some extant Angry Orchard ciders I had yet to try, first up is the Rosé, made with red-fleshed apples. Clear with no head, smells of Maraschino cherry, with floral and crisp apple notes beneath. The taste is very sweet and very floral with perhaps a hint of cranberry or pomegranate and a medium body. The finish is soft and slightly tart, leaving subtle fruitiness upon the tongue until it is washed away by salivation. Overall, a very interesting cider, it’s remarkably well balanced and sessionable, and slightly stronger than the rest of the core lineup.
