Angry Orchard – Cider House Collection: Walden Hollow 2016

Angry Orchard Walden Hollow

Just the slightest bit hazy with no head, smells of soft culinary apples with a subtle tannin character underneath. The taste is extremely tart, causing my mouth to pucker for a good 10 seconds after each sip; body is non-existent. The finish, after the puckering finally stops, is a wave of salivation and a residual sharp, citrus-like acidity on the back of the tongue. Overall, DAMN this is sour; not at all what I expected and it’s gonna be a chore to finish this bottle.
