Angry Orchard – Cider House Collection: The Muse

Took a trip to the actual Angry Orchard Cidery in Walden, NY today with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary and St. Pat’s, definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys cider, lots of samples and got these bottles I’ve been wanting to try for 10% because I was wearing a green shirt.

Anyway, clear with a very thin, but persistent head, smells of dry bittersweet apples with a hint of acidity. The taste is very sweet, like the sweetest apple juice you’ve ever had, and a light effervescent body reminiscent of champagne. The finish is still very sweet, but with a flash on non-puckering acidity. Overall, it’s sweeter than I expected, and I get wine like mouthfeel, but I don’t really pick up on the oak aging. That sad, it’s still a very good cider.
