Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Allagash – Sixteen Counties

Brewed with all Maine sourced ingredients. Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of Belgian yeast, wildflowers, and honey. The taste is crisp and herbaceous with notes of anise and kräuterlikör on a medium body with softer citrus and pear flavors underneath. The finish is long and moderately bitter with notes of herbal, citrus zest, and pine hops. Overall, this is a very good beer. Pleasantly bitter all the way through, somewhat reminiscent of a negroni.
