Allagash – Haunted House

Apparently, this is from the very last 4-pack of Haunted House 2020 sold, or so I was told as I picked up my curbside order on October 30th.

Flashlight shows an intense clear ruby hue, head retention is fantastic, smells of coffee, chocolate, and smoke. The taste is crisp with a toasted, almost charred breadiness on top of coffee and dark chocolate with a medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter with herbal hops, smoke, and coffee dominating. Overall, it’s a nice beer, not particularly unique, but perfectly enjoyable as the days grow colder, and the “6.66% ABV” is a cute touch.
