I review the beers I drink

Adirondack – Lake George’s IPA

Very excited to try this beer, it has (theoretically) zero IBUs due to all hop additions being post-boil. Now, I’m guessing this is the “Wave #01” version listed on the Adirondack website, as there is nothing on the label to indicate otherwise. A very cool concept, this beer is moderately hazy with decent head retention. Smells of pine, grapefruit, and faint note of cherry. Taste is a crisp malt base with a medium body that sets the stage for a juicy grapefruit hop flavor with a medium bitterness. Not quite what I was expecting, but there is a nice balance between the dominant grapefruit flavor and the pine and malt underneath, finish is warm and pleasantly bitter, with a citrus peel character. Overall, a cool idea, would like to try more of this style.
