I review the beers I drink

Abita – Office Party Holiday Stout

Loads of head retention on this one, staying well after the pour, and the flashlight shows a burnt orange color; smells of nutmeg and cinnamon above all else, actually giving an initial impression of eggnog aroma. The taste is spicy and warm, with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg once again dominating the caramel and chocolate malts as well as the medium body. The finish is long but low to moderate in bitterness, with notes of spicy and herbal hops melding with the spice and vanilla overtones. Overall, this is a cool beer; the aroma is wacky in a good way, and it’s a full-flavored, fully spiced, unabashed winter ale!
