I review the beers I drink

Abdij Sint Sixtus – Trappist Westvleteren 8

Moderately hazy and lightly murky with light head retention, smells of freshly toasted bread, caramel, and vanilla custard. The taste is crisp and fruity with flavors of roasted biscuits, caramel, dulce de leche, fig, and banana on a soft medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter and lightly warming, featuring notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, plum, fig, raisin, vanilla, oak, herbal hops, and just a hint of Belgian yeast. Overall this beer is incredible, the levels of complexity and the balance between them is exquisite. This is a must try beer worth the hype and worth hunting down. Currently the #1 Belgian Dubbel in the world on BeerAdvocate!
