“120 Minute IPA is brewed to a colossal 45-degree plato, boiled for a full two hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and aged for another month on whole-leaf hops!”
Cost $10 for one bottle, but I couldn’t resist. It smells of booze and thick maltiness kinda like a Samichlaus. Tastes boozy and sweet, really a lot like a fortified wine, like a Madeira or Marsala. Oily/resiny hop flavor but the sweetness far overpowers the bitterness. As the sweetness fades, it gets more bitter in the finish, and warms your whole mouth. Most un-IPA-like IPA I’ve ever had.
NOTE: This beer is actually 120 IBUs but the form I use to enter in these beers maxes out at 100.
