Hopefully, this will be closer to my favorite Mexican beer, Dos Equis Ambar. Clear with moderate head retention, smells lightly of toffee and caramel, but the aroma is very faint here. Taste is crisp and a little sweet, notes of toasted bread and caramel with a thick, almost chewy body. The finish is clean and dry, low bitterness with an earthy, herbal hop note, a little residual maltiness. Overall, this a great, simple beer: sessionable, balanced, approachable, and affordable; what more could you ask for?
