I review the beers I drink

Lobo e Falcão – Centenário Grande Reserva 2023

A deep ruby hue that shines bright in direct light, smells of strawberry rhubarb jam, plum, and black pepper. The taste is rich and dark with flavors of plum, blackberry, raspberry, and cherry on a silky smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter and with a mild acidity, featuring notes of medium rare steak, wine gums, oak, raisin, fig, forest floor, and grape leaves fading into a mild astringency. Overall this wine is bold and complex but still jammy and layered and with a subtle acid brightness underneath. A fantastic dinner wine, and some new grapes I’ll have to remember to look out for!
