I review the beers I drink

Broadbent – Rainwater Madeira

Somewhere between pink and amber in color, it smells of white grapes, brandy, and caramel. The taste is lightly sweet and fruity with flavors of strawberry, peach, nectarine, and grape juice on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and warm and with a moderately low bitterness, featuring notes of oak, plum, fig, caramel, toffee, and cherry. Overall, this wine is surprisingly good for the price, and much smoother and fruitier than I expected for a fortified wine. I am very excited to try some more expensive bottles of madeira soon!
