Flashlight shows a hazy burgundy glow, minimal head retention, smells of molasses, teriyaki glaze, and grilled meats. The taste is rich and fruity with flavors of plum, cherry, salted caramel, vanilla cream, raisin and fig on a super soft and creamy extra full body. The finish is long and warm and moderately bitter, featuring notes of cinnamon, clove, maple syrup, dried orange peel, banana bread, and spicy/herbal hops. Overall, this is an excellent example of the style with deliciously decadent flavors layered on top of each other with masterful perfection. The alcohol presence is still a tad rough around the edges but this should significantly mellow and develop new flavors if aged.
