I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Time Hop Porter

Collaboration with ChuckAlek Independent Brewers from San Diego, CA. Flashlight test shows deep amber and ruby tones, head retention is minimal. Smells of raw dark chocolate, and smoky campfire. Taste is a dark roasted coffee malt base with minimal sweetness, and a thick, full body. The flavor then develops an intense, deep bitterness with notes of coffee and floral hops which fades into a warm pleasantly dry finish. Overall, a solid dry stout; doesn’t break the mold, but it is a well-rounded, drinkable beer.
