Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Tree House – Wolverine

Flashlight is completely unable to penetrate the only black darkness of this beer; head retention is minimal, smells of chocolate, smoke, and black pepper. The taste is crisp and roasty with flavors of hot chocolate, cold brew coffee, sweet cream, and toasted wheat bread on a soft and silky smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of grapefruit, smoke, charred bread, honey, dark chocolate, black coffee, and vanilla. Overall, this is a very intriguing beer! It blurs the line between an aggressively hopped IPA and a creamy, toasty coffee stout. Presumably related to Raven, but I dare say this one is better.
