Lightly hazy with solid head retention, smells of toasted wheat rolls, pumpernickel, caramel, and toffee. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted rye, wheat crackers, honey, and salted caramel on a thick and chewy body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of charred toast, burnt toffee, and herbal hops. Overall, this is a fantastic Märzen, perfectly balanced amd packed with flavor. A faithful homage to the style and a brewery I definitely want to see more from!
