I review the beers I drink

Bad Lab – IPA

Picked up a mixed sixer on a day trip to NH, mostly local brews, this one from Bad Lab Beer Co. from Somersworth, NH.

HOLY CRAP CARBONATION!!! Seriously, I gently poured 1/3 of the bottle and had to start sucking foam off the top of the glass. Once poured, the beer is very hazy, with noticeable chunks of yeast floating around under close inspection. Smells of citrus, juice and peels; orange, grapefruit, and lemon. Taste is citrus peel with a heavy mineral water taste and slight metallic undertone. Imagine a “lite beer” version of an IPA, except that watered down flavor tastes (and looks) like it was actually watered down with San Pellegrino. Mouthfeel is similarly abrasive, with a dull, nondescript bitterness in the finish. Would not drink again.
