I review the beers I drink

Bières de Chimay – Première (Rouge)

Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of toffee, caramel, and plum. The taste is rich and bready with flavors of toasted biscuits, caramel, sourdough, and honey on a soft medium body. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of salted caramel, herbal hops, a touch of Belgian yeast and the slightest whisper of charred toast. Overall, this is a nice Dubbel, a little more hoppy and and less sweet than others in the style and with a softer, though not completely, lusciously soft, body.
