Clear color with a thin cap of head that stays; smells of maple, lightly roasted malt, and just a touch of fruitiness, plum maybe. Taste is a roasty, toasty malt base that only grows in flavor and intensity. This is a thick, creamy beer, perhaps the smoothest mouthfeel I’ve ever felt, with a smoky and almost sweet finish that lasts forever. Hops are very hard to find in this brew, but I like it. Some may consider this more of a winter beer than a fall beer, either way it’s a solid beer and while the maple isn’t a dominant flavor, it’s still noticeable enough to make a statement.
