Hazy with light head retention, smells of sourdough, honey, and floral hops. The taste is crisp and spicy with flavors of white pepper, apple, banana bread, pear, and a touch of rye on a silky smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately high in bitterness, featuring notes of grapefruit, apricot, funky Belgian yeast, clove, and herbal/spicy hops. Overall, I really like this one, it kinda feels like a Belgian take on a pale ale, but mellower and yet more complex at the same time. A must try Tripel, perhaps my favorite of the style so far.
