I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Bourbon County Brand Vanilla Rye Stout 2024

Flashlight fails to shine through, the head is quite impressive after pouring, but quickly dissipates to minimal, smells of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and peppery rye. The taste is smooth and dark with flavors of chocolate syrup, espresso, burnt caramel, and charred bread on a silky smooth yet thick and syrupy body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, spicy rye whiskey, and smoke. Overall, this is definitely a standout from this year, not exceptionally smooth AND exceptionally complex, I could honestly keep sipping and naming flavors here all night. Bravo!
