I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Bourbon County Brand Macaroon Stout 2024

Flashlight cannot penetrate the inky black, no real head retention, smells of coconut, chocolate, and gingersnaps. The taste is rich and decadent with flavors of chocolate syrup, caramel, and cappuccino on an extremely thick and syrupy body. The finish is long and moderately high in bitterness, featuring notes of dark chocolate, ginger, toasted coconut, espresso, and vanilla. Overall, this is a fun riff on BCBS, the ginger and coconut are rather subtle, but add a nice complexity, and the extra fudgy chocolate notes make this one extra rich.
