Only the slightest of haze, no yeast sediment in bottle, and minimal head retention; smells of fall spices, and subtle floral hops. Taste is a spicy, bready malt base with a thick creamy body that slowly fades into a dry, spiced finish. As the beer warms, the spices only get more noticeable in the nose and on the tongue, but still manages to retain a balance between the hops and malt. That said, the spices are the dominant flavor and if you’re not into that, then you probably won’t like this beer. Personally, I dig it and think it’s a cool take on the hefe style.
