I review the beers I drink

Surly – Velvet Jam

Lightly hazy with tons of visible chunks floating in it, minimal head retention, smells of faint cherry, plum, and sourdough, but the whole aroma is very muted. The taste is crisp and tart, with flavors of cherry, grape leaves, and raspberry on a medium body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of orange peel, chardonnay, and lime zest. Overall, it’s a funky beer, tart and medicinal, kinda reminds me of a lambic crossed with a saison.
