I review the beers I drink

Harpoon – House Golden Ale

Crystal clear with a perpetual thin head. Smells of sweet fruity yeast, notes of strawberry and banana, alcohol and hops underneath. Taste is a neutral malt base that slides across the tongue with a slick, creamy mouthfeel and slowly fades into a warm, spicy, herbal hop finish with a bright lemony touch towards the front of the tongue. Not the flashiest beer in the world, but perfectly balanced, exceptionally sessionable. This is a solid, everyday easy-drinking kinda beer, or as the label puts it: a beer’s beer. Love it.
