A Sicilian white blend, predominantly Catarratto, a new grape to me. Smells of pear, green apple, and buttery croissants. The taste is bright and complex with flavors of pear, green apple, strawberry and watermelon on a light body. The finish is long and moderately dry with a high acidity, featuring notes of strawberry, lime, raspberry, and grape leaves. Overall, it’s a great, vibrant wine with a lovely structure and a steal at only $11. I’ll have to keep an eye out for a pure Catarratto bottle…
