This Ligurian wine is a bit out of order with my tour of Italy, but I needed something to cook with and this bottle caught my eye, as well as being a grape varietal I have not tried.
Smells of buttered biscuits, apple blossom, and pear. The taste is crisp and bright with flavors of buttery croissant, pear, green apple, and strawberry on a silky smooth light body. The finish is long and dry with a moderate acidity, featuring notes of grape leaves, lime zest, rhubarb, and melon rind. Overall, a pretty good white, well balanced and uniquely buttery, reminiscent of a Chardonnay, yet brighter.
