I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Jack-O

Lightly hazy with minimal head retention, smells of pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin spice. The taste is lightly sweet and spicy with flavors of pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon, graham crackers, and honey on a creamy medium body. The finish is long and very low in bitterness, featuring notes of pumpkin spice, lemon zest, and just the slightest hint of herbal hops. Overall, it’s surprisingly sweet and essentially a pumpkin pie in a glass, but I enjoy it myself and think it’s probably the closest beer I’ve had to what most people expect when they first try a pumpkin ale.
