From French Brandy we move to Armagnac, a regionally specific style of French Brandy similar to cognac.
Smells of grape juice cocktail, maraschino cherry, and grape cough syrup. The taste is fruity but not really sweet, with flavors of honey, grape juice, and plum. The finish is long and smooth with almost no burn, featuring notes of oak, vanilla, honey, apricot, tobacco, and a touch of grape leaves. Overall, this is very good; it has a pronounced yet balanced oakiness and is fruity yet dry. A wonderfully smooth and decadently complex sipper that should also work well in cocktails.
A sidecar is incredibly smooth with dominant notes of oak on top of the lemon and orange. A must try.
An Armagnac Rose is soooooo smooth and the interplay between oak and grenadine is divine. My favorite Rose so far.
An Armagnac Jack is also super smooth and well balanced, with the lemon, apple, and oak blending perfectly into something breathtaking. Indeed, also a must try.
An old fashioned has prominent notes of honey and golden raisins on a silky smooth body and endless complexity.
