I review the beers I drink

Ommegang – Chai Cider

Clear with no real head retention, smells of red apples and soft chai spice. The taste is crisp and spicy with notes of cardamom, cinnamon, clove, and ginger with tart green apple underneath on a light effervescent body. The finish is long and lightly tart, featuring notes of bright green apple flesh, red apple skins, residual spices and a hint of black tea. Overall, the flavors are there and I do actually enjoy it, though it comes off as “dusty” at times, like the dryness of eating a spoonful of cinnamon, but in a liquid so I don’t even understand it.
