I review the beers I drink

Stone – Hazy IPA

Picked up this year’s 12 Days of IPAs pack from Stone because why not.

Lightly hazy with Stone’s characteristic floating sediment in suspension, light head retention, smells of pineapple, papaya, and floral hops. The taste is crisp and bright with flavors of toasted biscuits, lemon juice, and guava on a thick full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of orange pulp, grapefruit peel, and floral hops. Overall, it not terrible. West coast breweries just never seem to be able to properly reproduce this style, but compared to the super bitter hop bombs Stone is known for, this one has nice hop flavors and is remarkably unabrasive.
