So day 10 of the calendar was Three Philosophers, and day 11 was actually a repeat of the Barrel Aged Maple from day 9.
Anyway, this beer pours a deep blood red color that the flashlight barely penetrates, no real head retention, smells of peanut butter cups, chocolate, and more peanut butter. The taste is rich and decadent with flavors of chocolate, peanut butter, graham cracker pie crust, coffee, and a hint of hazelnut on a thick and chewy yet silky smooth body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of cold brew coffee, dark chocolate, herbal hops and roasted peanuts. Overall this beer is incredible, it delivers on the chocolate and peanut butter flavors and then some, delivering an experience nearly the same as eating a slice of chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. I think this just made my top 10 stouts list.
