Tree House – Rum & Malt Cola

Tree House Rum & Malt Cola

Pours a dark reddish brown with light head retention, smells of dark wheat bread, wort, and caramel. The taste is malty and sweet with flavors of dark roasted malts, toasted biscuits, sweetened malt soft drink, brown sugar, dark chocolate, caramel, and a hint of coffee on an effervescent medium body. The finish is long and lightly bitter, featuring notes of charred grains, coffee, dark chocolate, hazelnut, toasted coconut, licorice, and a hint of black strap molasses. Overall, it’s honestly the most peculiar rum & coke I’ve ever tasted; sweet and malty it feels more like stout wort than a mixed drink, and it’s not really reminiscent of a rum & coke at all…
