I review the beers I drink

Tree House – Catharsis

Flashlight fails to penetrate the dark murkiness of this beer, minimal head retention, smells of smoke, coffee, and dark chocolate. The taste is crisp and lightly sweet with flavors of milk chocolate, coffee, sweet cream, and a hint of salted caramel on a smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of coffee, dark chocolate, herbal hops, and a hint of smoke. Overall, this is a fantastic porter, simple yet perfectly layered and balanced; a perfect example of the style.
