Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Southern Tier – 2XIPA

Clear with light head retention, smells of honey crisp apples, pine, and floral hops. The taste is crisp and well rounded, with flavors of toasted bread, caramel, apple, pear, cherry, and a hint of Belgian yeast like funk on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of grapefruit peel, lime zest, floral hops, and pine. Overall, it’s remarkably smooth and well balanced, and what seems like a simple, every day DIPA is surprisingly complex underneath.
