Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Widmer Brothers – Hazy Jack

Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of fresh pine, lemon, and grapefruit. The taste is crisp and bready, with flavors of toasted bread, peppery grains, with soft lemony undertones on a full body. The finish is long and moderate in bitterness, featuring notes of pine, grapefruit peels, lemon zest, and herbal hops. Overall, it’s not a bad beer, and maybe it’s just the west coast hop profile, but it also tastes like it has lost its freshness.
