Moderately hazy brown color with minimal head retention, smells of vinegar, black cherry, and pinot noir. The taste is tart and funky, with flavors of red wine vinegar, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, blueberry, and a musty Belgian yeast character on a thin, lightly effervescent body. The finish is long and quite tart, featuring notes of cranberry, lemon juice, vinegar, and mineral water before fading away in the salivation it induces. Overall, it’s not a bad Belgian sour, it has approximately the right flavors and is certainly drinkable, just not particularly an experience I would seek out again.
