Very lightly hazy with light head retention, smells of pale malt, corn, lager yeast, citrus, and grassy hops. The taste is crisp and doughy with flavors of fresh dough, toasted biscuits, honey, and corn on a light body. The finish is long and low to moderate in bitterness, featuring notes of popcorn, dried lime peel, and mineral water on a base of grassy, herbal, and spicy hops. Overall, it’s ok; the inclusion of an adjunct filler grain here perplexes me and it really permeates every facet of this beer. This isn’t the caliber of beer I have come to expect from Trillium.
