Moderately hazy with minimal head retention, smells of raspberries, cranberries, and lime. The taste is juicy and moderately tart with flavors of raspberry, blueberry, lingonberry, and light vanilla cream on a creamy smooth, medium body. The finish is long and puckering but fades before becoming unbearable, featuring notes of raspberry cheesecake, subtle jasmine rice, and barely perceivable floral hops before the astringency cleanses the palate clean with saliva leaving just a hint of residual tartness. Overall, I’m not a huge fan of sours, but this beer isn’t bad. Just doesn’t have enough hops to really feel like an IPA to me, and the raspberry kinda overpowers all the other fruit, but the smooth and creamy body does help to balance out the acidity and keep the beer from becoming monotonous.
