The finish is long and subtly tart, featuring notes of elderberry, blackberry, leather and smoked gouda. Overall, it’s very light and refreshingly tart with a reserved fruitiness and low tannins. It would make a nice introduction to red wine for someone who is intimidated by the bolder, drier offerings.
