Very hazy with minimal head retention, smells of raspberry, cherry, and merlot (I fully admit I have no idea what blackcurrant smells or tastes like). The taste is sweet and tart with notes of sour cherry, raspberry, blackberry with an undertone of vanilla on a smooth and creamy full body. The finish is moderate in length and low in bitterness, featuring notes of grape must, herbal hops, and lightly puckering acidity. Overall, it’s a cool beer, not very IPA-like but there are some hops and while on the higher end of the tartness scale, it’s layered well with the sweetness and bitterness to be quite enjoyable.
