(Tonight’s BrewDog review is the fantastic Hazy Jane)
So, the name here is supposed to be a What3Words geotag apparently… Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of grapefruit, pineapple, and papaya. The taste is crisp and bready upfront with juicy notes of pineapple, citrus, mango, and honey underneath the thick, full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of floral hops, grapefruit pith, and pine. Overall, it tastes a lot better than the name sounds, it’s kind of a hybrid between a typical assertively hopped Stone West Coast-style IPA, and a hazy, fruity NEIPA; possibly my favorite so far.
